Sigurd Ressell
Sigurd Ressell was a Norwegian designer, famous for creating the iconic Falcon chair. Sigurd's career in design began when renowned furniture maker Neils Vodder praised the drawing he had entered into a furniture design competition. Then, in 1958, a prototype from the drawing was produced. Named the SR 600, the piece won an award at the Copenhagen Cabinetmaker's Guild Exhibition for craftsmen in Denmark.
Ressell went on to work as a designer for a number of well known Scandinavian companies, during which time he designed the Falcon Chair for Vatne Mobler.
